12 Months — 12 Goals

Now's your chance to redefine your New Year's resolutions and turn them into actionable goals. How? Think about what you'd really love to experience in the coming 12 months, your 2018 Bucket List, and who you'd like to experience it with. For example, what do you want to see, do, feel and experience these next months? It's time to reflect on how you'd like to grow as a person – or shrink if weight loss is your goal!

Plus, remember all the things you wanted to do last year, but simply didn't get around to? Doesn't feel good, does it?

Never fear, because we've got the solution to your New Year's resolutions. First up, get a friend, partner or family member on board and make a pact to set...and meet...milestones for the next 12 months. This way, you'll hold each other accountable to milestone deadlines, lend a helping hand and when needed help fire up inspiration.

Can't think of ideas right now? We've got you covered. All you need to do is pick your favorites or list your own. Then, set a due date to kick a bucket list goal each and every month this year.

You can do it!

january bucket list

It'd be a shame to waste all that snow falling spectacularly over much of the world. So, why not learn to ski in January? Hit your local ski resort or jet off to a super fun location, like Zermatt in Switzerland or Canada's Whistler. If you've never been, hire your gear, get yourself some lessons and you'll be carving up the slopes before you know it... and for all you pros, why not try something new like raindeer ski racing, telemark or even ski jumping

february bucket list

Mardi Gras is the biggest celebration New Orleans hosts every year, in February. But, it's also one of the most outrageous annual parties in the world. Just remember, it's very important to set a due date as soon as possible for this goal, because flights and hotels fill up quick.

Then, you'll get to dive into all the colorful, crazy traditions, with music, parades, costumes, floats, beads and non-stop action. Once you've been there, you might just find you'll be adding this particular goal to your list every February, from now on.

If you're more in to mood for some hot latin moves this carnival season, head on down to the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro

march bucket list

It's better if you really love green for this one, and Guinness also. If not, Saint Patrick's Day is still a great excuse to party. Obviously, Ireland is the best spot to get your Leprechaun on, with parades, festivities and frivolity enlivening the country.

However, most cities in the world are home to Irish pubs and you're sure to find a party happening in all of them on the 17th of March. If not, host your own party and invite guests for a night of drinking games and Gold Coin Toss. What to wear? Green hair and shamrocks.

March also marks the start of "spring break season", so all you party goers should remember to make your own spring break bucket list

april bucket list

What better time to learn how to make your own chocolate, then Easter? Chocolate bunnies, eggs or anything you please, are even better when they're created with your own hands. You just need cocoa powder, butter, milk, sugar and water for ingredients. Choose the molds you love, create and...eat! If you're not a whiz in the kitchen yet, head to a cooking school and take the opportunity to learn the ins and outs.

may bucket list

Just imagine that adrenaline rush as you let go into open air, freefall at dizzying heights and gently return back to the ground with a thrill-seeking experience under your belt? Best of all, most skydiving schools record the whole experience, so you can show it off to your friends and keep the memory strong for life.

You can probably try skydiving any time of the year, so you don't have to choose May to tick off this popular bucketlist goal. Just remember to fill your 12 months with some of the things you've been putting off.

june bucket list

June brings Go Skateboarding Day, with hundreds of events celebrating the sport and cutting-edge culture across the world. Go to a competition or display near you, or grab your own wheels, a group of friends and hit the local skateboard ramps. If you're not that confident, grab your helmet and some knee pads and give it a go on easy neighborhood footpaths or at the park. As they say, you're never too old to try something new :)

july bucket list

July is festival season, with Independence Day celebrations taking focus across the USA. However, there are plenty of big names to choose from this month. Check out Tomorrowland in Belgium, WOMAD in the UK, Splendour in the Grass in Australia and Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.

Going to festivals is all about hanging out with your friends and thousands of other like minded partygoers. Go all out and dress up, don't be scared to use glitter and be ready to see the sun come up, before the party's over.

august bucket list

The warm weather is here so it's time to make the most of it with a beach vacation in August! Don't put off lazing on the sand, reading your favorite book or spending time with friends by the sea one moment longer. You deserve a break mid-year, or a party, it's your choice.

Either way, bucket list goals can be as simple, easy and cheap as you want them to be, and the beach is all three. Camping is a great way to take a beach vacation on a budget and all you need is the desire to have fun in the sun.

september bucket list

September is a wonderful month to see Humpback, Blue and Gray Whales, as well as Orcas, across the USA. Watching these giants of the sea leap, flip and swim gracefully by really is one of those extra-special experiences people cherish forever. There are many places you can discover them, including in California, Alaska, Hawaii and Washington.

If you have a friend's or family member's birthday this month, why not take the opportunity to give back and surprise them with a gift voucher for the experience? Naturally, you get to go too.

october bucket list

There's something totally magical about leaves changing from green to fiery reds, yellows and oranges, in fall. From mountain tops to lakes, parks and forests, set a due date to explore the season in all its glory.

Explore Maine, Vermont, Oregon and Colorado. Or, take an extended trip to discover the vibrant colors in Nova Scotia, Florence, Munich, Prague or Kyoto. Take advantage of the cool weather to stay in cozy log cabins for romantic, fireside nights in the country.

november bucket list

Plan ahead to escape the cold and relax before the end of the year festive madness. November is a fantastic time to take a trip to a tropical island and learn how to surf. There are plenty of destinations to choose from, whether you're on a backpacker budget or you've managed to save some cash.

Bali, in Indonesia, offers world class surf breaks, plus seriously cheap food and accommodation. Other options include Hawaii's Big Island, Jamaica and Australia. If you can't jet off, the surf's always up in Florida, even in November.
