Hi ellen well This isn’t about me . I’m writing this short story about my grandmother sandra brown who is 62 years old , turning 63 on the 10 march. She was born in Kingston Jamaica , and raised by her aunt and grandmother. She didn’t had a mother around cause her mom died after giving birth to her . Her dad reginald brown was barely around cause he worked on ships so he could provide for them. So she barely sees him , he eventually moved and lived in rochester ny ,So he will only come and visit her in Jamaica sometimes. She immigrated in 1995 to a island in the Caribbean named curaçao so she could provide for he 5 children’s. Well i have to say I haven’t seen such a strong hard working woman and up to this day she is still working and i look up to her everyday. My mom ( her youngest child) had me at 16 , so my grandmother took me as her own child and raised me right and took good care of me . She had a stroke couple years ago but she doesn’t make that stop her from working. If there is one thing my grandmother wish she could have is to see her dad again it has been more than 20 to 30 year since she seen him and over years without a phone call . He is 91 years old and he is not doing so well and her only dream is to see him and take care of him before he lay down to rest.
