Be In A Musical

I absolutely love Musicals and singing. Would love to be in a production. Not necessarily staring in a show but even being in the chorus would be fine. I would just audition but I have no experience or training and would be competing against people who have majored in drama and other related majors. Where do I start? @pmgiese
