I really want to receive some assistance because I am smart, I am talented, and I have amazing and creative ideas that I want to share with the world! I started out as an assistant computer technician at the age of 14, and I have done nothing but gather knowledge from teachers, supervisors, books, the internet, friends, family, and life. I am 28 years old and I’ve always been considered as a natural born leader, a social butterfly, and the life of the party. But I can’t seem to get recognized for the “jack of all trades” that I am because, on paper, my education doesn’t reflect that. I have a disease called Muscular Dystrophy, and it makes it very hard to live, and trying to type and complete school work is a real difficult task at times. I want to show my family, my ‘friends’ who have all gone now, the world, and myself, that I CAN do something; besides just sitting around and wasting away in some old folks home, like everyone seems to think I should be doing. I am confined to a wheelchair; I have limited reach and severe muscle loss and deterioration. I want to create, I want to innovate, and I want to inspire. I know that if you look into my past my record in education won’t exactly reflect that about me, but I promise you that is my past, and now I am reaching out to the members and churches in my community to help me to start my future. I have a few written summaries of the ideas that I am currently working on I could email to you. Devin Robinson
