Raki, the Turkish national drink, is a clear brandy made of distilled grapes, flavored with anise. It has the licorice-y taste of ouzo and sambuca, and as with the Greek and Italian spirits, it's usually consumed simply with water and ice. It was so thick, milky and I honestly thought it tasted like mint black licorice. It was hard to take because it was so flavorful, but unique, fun and interesting to try. Definitely couldn't have multiple in one setting
