Good day all! My name is Miguel, and I'm 48 from New Jersey. I'm married to my wonderful wife Jennie and we have 2 great kids. What would be a good fundraising event to help make my last wish closer to reality? I've had my Heartmate 3 since 11/18/21. I did not qualify for a heart transplant do to my high risk of Cancer. I'm a 5 time Cancer survivor and was deemed to much of a high risk to be put on the transplant list. So Lvad was my only option. My function has been deteriorating and was told maybe I might have 8-12 months. No one really know but, the man upstairs which I have true faith in. I've been getting a bit more winded and dizzy to a point I pass out. They are rare and few but was told I heading towards the end stage. I am ok with that but, there is one thing that still keeps me up at night now even more. I need your help in finding a way and ideas to make my last Bucket List Wish become reality. My wife and I celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary this November 11,2023 & I really would love to take her to Florida to celebrate. We have always wanted to go to the Fort Lauderdale area and just relax. We look at the areas and places to stay and we'll it's out of our price range a bit. So I was wondering if any members and fellow brothers and sisters could help me find a way to raise money to go. What would be a good fundraising event? A bake sale, yard sale etc...
