I found that I brushed off compliments and hung on to (forever!) negative things said to me, about me. When I started the complement journal, I found I had to listen to and acknowledge complements in order to remember them, or make note of them and enter them in my journal at the end of the day. It has been interesting. Over time I see many of the same complements, from many different sources. It has had me come to sort of believe those. This goal has given me a new perspective. I stopped doing this for the longest while, but I find my life is better, my mood is better when I focus on the positive. So, here we go (again)….
