Researching and obtaining gear!

I've been doing a lot of research on backpacking in the region and we've started to outfit ourselves for a nice backpacking adventure.  So far we've obtained quality packs, have ordered quality down sleeping bags, and are starting to get other lightweight backpacking gear while learning various skills and conditioning on local trails.

We have both mentioned the John Muir Trail at different times.  If this is enjoyable, maybe that will become a bucket list item along with more backpacking adventures.  We definitely live in the right spot for many outstanding backpacking adventures.!
